How to join audio online — 4 steps

  1. Upload audio: drag or pick multiple MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, or OGG files (up to 100 MB each).
  2. Reorder: use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the exact play order you want.
  3. Set crossfade & bitrate: use 0.5-2s crossfade for smooth transitions; 192 kbps is a good balance.
  4. Join & download: merge, preview, then download the MP3 — no watermark, no signup.

The tool runs entirely in your browser, so there is nothing to install and your files are never uploaded. Audio joining is great for building a medley, stitching voice/podcast segments, combining background tracks for a slideshow, or making a seamless playlist. It is completely free and the output has no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How many files can I merge at once?

There is no fixed limit on the number of files. You can add many MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, or OGG tracks and join them into a single MP3. Each file can be up to 100 MB since processing happens in your browser.

What is crossfade for?

Crossfade is a smooth transition: the end of one track fades out while the next fades in, avoiding silence or abrupt cuts between tracks. You can set it from 0 to 3 seconds.

How do I reorder the tracks?

After adding files, use the ▲ ▼ buttons on each track to move it up or down. The order in the list is the play order of the merged file.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. TaoClip uses the Web Audio API + lamejs to decode and encode MP3 entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and it is free with no watermark.

Which bitrate should I choose?

There are 5 levels from 96 to 320 kbps. 192 kbps is a good balance for most needs; 320 kbps gives the highest quality on good speakers.

How is this different from merging videos?

This tool only handles audio (MP3/WAV…). If you want to join multiple video clips, use TaoClip's Merge Video tool instead.
